Terms of use

Using the game
Fudgle is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial enjoyment. You may share your result grids anywhere you like. You may not scrape the site, resell access to it, or redistribute the game itself as your own product.
No warranty
The game is provided on an “as is” basis without warranties of any kind. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we may change or retire features, including the archive, at any time.
Your data and your streak
Your progress lives in your browser, not on our servers. We are not able to restore a streak lost to cleared storage, a new device, or private browsing. Please treat your streak as entertainment rather than as a record we hold for you.
Word list
Word data is used under the SCOWL permission notice, reproduced on the word list page. Fudgle does not incorporate the Collins Scrabble Words list, the NASPA word list, or Oxford dictionary data.
Intellectual property
The Fudgle name, visual design, written guides, and game code are ours. The underlying idea of a five-letter guessing grid is not, and we make no claim to it. Fudgle is not affiliated with or endorsed by Wordle or The New York Times.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other non-excludable consumer protections.
